Grab your buddies and cook for a great cause!
Cooking Teams should consist of 1-2 Team Captains with additional helpers (up to 6 total people per team). While you're showing off your fiery finesse, you can share recipes with other cooks, enjoy the great food, and (most importantly) have a great time!
To get signed up, all you need to do is fill out the registration form and send it our way. Then we'll follow up and make sure you don't have any additional questions.
For EGGfest to be a success, we need Cooking Teams!
If you love cooking on your EGG because it's fun and you've got some special recipes the world needs to EGG-sperience... then you'll have a blast cooking at our EGGfest. To get signed up, all you need to do is fill out the registration form and send it our way.
This is NOT a high-stakes, high-pressure cooking competition and there is NO REGISTRATION FEE.
EGGfest directly benefits the Keystone Kops Charity.
Proceeds from our event go directly to this fantastic group as they provide lodging and transportation assistance to children and their families during their care at Shrine Hospitals across the region.
During EGGfest, this distinguished unit of the Abu Ben Adhem Shrine Mosque helps us organize, set up, and execute EGGfest while selling drinks and RAFFLE TICKETS during the event.
EGGfest opens to the public at 10:00AM, however, we ask that Cooks arrive NO LATER THAN 8:00AM to unload vehicles/trailers, set up their cooking station (approx. 12'x12' space), and begin cooking.
Our staff will be on-site by 6:00AM to coordinate the event setup.
From 10:00AM-2:00PM, EGGfest Cooking Teams showcase their skills by serving bite-size samples of their unique recipes throughout the day for our Tasters to enjoy.
We ask that cooking teams participate/cook for the entire event. You don't always have to be serving, but you should always be working on your next dish.
What To Bring
Cooking Teams Should Bring:
- Tables & Chairs for your area
- 10x10 Pop-Up Canopy
- Cooler(s) for storing food supplies
- All ingredients needed to create your recipes
- Cooking utensils, tools & cutting boards
- Some type of food thermometer
- Baking Stones & Specialty EGGcessories
- 2oz plastic ramekins or small paper plates
Outdoor Home Will Provide:
- (At least) 1 New Big Green Egg & ConvEGGtor
- Lump Charcoal & Firestarters
- Sanitation Supplies
- Extra Latex Service Gloves (limited)
- Pink Butcher Paper
- Additional ice for your cooler
- EGGfest Cooking Team Shirts
- Help loading before and after EGGfest
Meet & Greet will be held at 4 By 4 Brewing Company
SEPTEMBER 29TH, 2023 • 6:00PM - 9:00PM
Outdoor Home is hosting a Meet & Greet event the night before EGGfest for all our EGGfest Cooking Teams. This added bonus is FREE FOR COOKING TEAMS to attend and is meant to show our appreciation for the EGGfest Cooks' hard work and commitment to making our event such a success for the charity. We'll have plenty of food and drinks for attendees in a casual, come-and-go setting. When signing up to cook, please let us know how many will be attending the Meet & Greet on your registration form.

The 2023 EGGfest will again feature the 10th Annual "EGGcellent Chef" Competition!
As Tasters enter the event, each will be given 3 votes to cast for the cooking team they feel produced the best results on the Big Green Egg.
There are no specific categories or rules for this "People's Choice" competition. It simply allows cooks to prepare a variety of recipes throughout the day and demonstrate the versatility of the Big Green Egg for all our Tasters!
All cooks are encouraged to participate as there are no special requirements and no additional costs... but the winners will receive a distinguished prize once the votes are tallied!

The 2023 EGGfest is a rain or shine event. In the event of inclement weather, the event may be delayed or rescheduled. No refunds will be given due to force majeure or cancellation. The safety of our event participants is our top priority. If severe weather conditions develop, we may need to temporarily occupy a safer space.
