WHAT IS EGGFEST?

EGGfest is an event dedicated to the Big Green Egg Smoker/Grill. "EGGheads" (Big Green Egg Enthusiasts) travel from all over to participate and share in fun and festivities while experienced EGG cooks showcase their skills and talents with "The Ultimate Cooking Experience". Whether you own a Big Green Egg or just want to sample unique recipes from BBQ to pizza to baked desserts, then EGGfest is the event for you!

Most importantly, this is a charity event that directly benefits the Keystone Kops Unit of Springfield, MO. All net proceeds from the 2016 "Smokin' the Ozarks" EGGfest go directly to this fantastic organization. For more information about the Keystone Kops Unit go HERE!

Imagine a festival with hundreds of people sharing the love, passing out delicious food, and enjoying the party atmosphere! There will be amazing food coming off the EGGs all day, so it's a good practice to pace yourself and ask each EGG chef what makes their recipe special!

It's suggested that Tasters arrive between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM in order to experience the "full" Big Green EGGfest adventure! Food will be coming off the EGGs continuously throughout the day, so there isn't necessarily a "peak time" for you to arrive. Regardless of when you show up, you'll soon learn why the Big Green Egg is often copied but never matched in culinary excellence!

TASTER TICKETS

Early-Bird "Taster Tickets" are available through September 10th. Tickets grant you access to unlimited food samples from cooks all performing special recipes on the Big Green Egg. Last year EGGfest had over 45 Cooking Teams and over 150 Cooks all working diligently to perform their best recipes for the crowd!

Taster Tickets are purchased individually for $20 or as a pair for at $35, and also includes a freshly designed, Official 2016 Smokin' the Ozarks EGGfest T-Shirt with every ticket. Children 12 and under are admitted to the event for FREE!

Taster Tickets after Sept. 10th will be available online and in-store, but do not include an Official EGGfest T-Shirt. Day of the event admission is $20 per individual and will be available at the front gate. A very limited number of additional 2016 EGGfest T-Shirts will be available to purchase during the event as well.

Parking is available within the lots surrounding Outdoor Home at 882 W. Tracker Rd in Nixa, MO. We will have event staff present to help assist you in parking your vehicle.

COOK AT EGGFEST

For an EGGfest to be successful, we need EGGcellent cooks. EGGfest is the venue for EGGheads to showcase their talents on the Big Green Egg. From 10:00am-4:00pm cooks will be showcasing their skills and talents by preparing their specialty recipes all day long. It's also an opportunity for everyone to sample others' food, share recipes, and "talk shop" with other Big Green Egg enthusiasts.

EGGfest opens to the public at 10:00am, however, we ask that Cooks arrive no later than 8:00am to unload vehicles/trailers, and set up their cooking station. We will have ample volunteers available to help you unload everything you bring along. Cooking teams should consist of 1-2 Team Captains with additional helpers. Team Captains will receive complimentary 2016 EGGfest T-Shirts, and additional shirts will be available to pre-purchase upon request when you sign up as a cooking team.

All ingredients needed to create you recipes

Plate-Setters & EGGcessories
Sample containers (ex. 2oz plastic ramekins, small paper plates)

Ice to refill your cooler(s)

MEET & GREET

FRIDAY SEPT 23rd 6:00pm-9:00pm

Outdoor Home will again be hosting a Meet & Greet event the night before EggFest at the Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield, MO! This added bonus is FREE for Cooking Teams to attend, and is meant to show our appreciation for all the EggFest Cook's hard work and their commitment to making EggFest such a success for our charity partner. When registering to cook, please let us know how many will be attending the Meet & Greet. We'll have plenty of food and drinks in a casual setting available for all of our EggFest Cooks and their guests. Definitely one of the funnest parts of this event!

4TH ANNUAL EGG-CELLENT CHEF AWARDS

Back by popular demand, the 2016 EGGfest will again feature an "Eggcellent Chef Award" competition! As Tasters enter the event they will be given 1 vote to cast for the cooking team that they feel produced the best results on the Big Green Egg.

This allows cooks to prepare a variety of recipes throughout the day and demonstrate the versatility of the Big Green Egg! All cooks are encouraged to participate, there are no special requirements or ingredients, and the winners will receive a distinguished prize!

EGGFEST EGGS (used only once at EGGfest)

An EGGfest Egg is a package that you pre-purchase prior to the EGGfest. The brand new Big Green Egg will be cooked on the day of EGGfest by one of our registered cooking teams, and then you will pick it up at the end of the day!
