What is EggFest?

EggFest is an event dedicated to the Big Green Egg Smoker/Grill. "Eggheads" (Egg Enthusiasts) family and friends travel from all over to participate and share in fun and festivities. Whether you own a Big Green Egg or just want to sample some unique new recipes from BBQ to baked goods, then EggFest is the event for you!

There will be some amazing food coming off the eggs all day, so pace yourself! It is suggested the tasters arrive between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM in order to experience the "full" Big Green Eggfest experience! You'll soon learn why the Big Green Egg is the "Ultimate Cooking Experience".

Pre-registration "Taster Tickets" are available through September 1st.   Tickets grant you access to unlimited food samples from dozens of cooks all performing their special recipes on the Big Green Egg. These tickets can be purchased individually for $20 or as a pair for a discount at $35.

Each Pre-Registration ticket also includes a freshly designed, Official 2014 Smokin' the Ozarks EggFest T-Shirt.

Day of the event admission will be $20 per individual and does not include an official T-Shirt.

Be a Cook at EggFest!

For an EggFest to be successful, we need cooks. EggFest is the venue for EggHeads to showcase their talents on the Big Green Egg. The cooks will be showcasing their skills by preparing their specialty recipes all day long. It's also an opportunity to sample the food, share recipes and talk to other Big Green Egg enthusiasts.

Outdoor Home will provide a new Big Green Egg, a load of charcoal, and sanitation supplies for each cook to use throughout the day. These "used once" Big Green Eggs are pre-sold and collected after the event by the new owner. Additional information on EggFest Eggs is listed below.

To register as an EggFest Cook, download a Cook's Registration and submit the form at either Outdoor Home location or by fax (417-869-4447) or over the phone (417-869-0174).

At the hotel, we will also be hosting our Friday night Meet-and-Greet for Cooking Teams.  This added bonus is FREE for cooking teams to attend and is meant to show our appreciation for all their hard work. This gathering will be catered, although final details aren't quite finished. When registering to cook, please let us know how many will be attending the Meet & Greet.

2nd Annual "Eggcellent Chef Award"

The Smokin' the Ozarks Eggfest has grown each year, and past EggFests have allowed Outdoor Home to gather important feedback from both cooks and tasters. That is why this year will again feature an "Eggcellent Chef Award" competition. Throughout the day tasters will vote on which Big Green Egg Chef is simply the best!

This allows cooks to prepare a variety of recipes throughout the day and demonstrate the versatility of the Big Green Egg! All cooks are encouraged to participate, there are no special requirements/ingredients, and the winners will receive a distinguished prize!
