WHAT IS BEEF TALLOW

Beef tallow is simply the rendered fat from beef. It’s made by cooking down fat and then removing any leftover solids and impurities.

When kept at room temperature, beef tallow remains pliable, almost like soft butter. Cook with tallow in place of olive oil or butter for sauteeing steaks and veggies. It also has a high smoke point, so it's great for deep frying and any cooking that requires high heat.

USING BEEF TALLOW

You’re going to love cooking with beef tallow. You can inject it, sautee with it, fry it, bake with it, and basically use it for any savory dish that requires cooking oil.

Inject it into your next brisket. Try it for your next omelet. Sauté green beans and red potatoes. Use it to make an out-of-this-world crust for your pies. The possibilities are infinite.

STORING BEEF TALLOW

Pure beef tallow is shelf-stable, so it can sit on the counter at room temperature for days in an air-tight container. It's best to keep it in the fridge when not used to prevent accidental oxidization, though it's not necessary. The main thing to focus on is making sure the jar it's in is sealed properly.
